This is it! I'm leaving! I got my ticket this morning and now I'm off on Wednesday morning. I fly from LAX to San Francisco, and then on to Seoul, South Korea. From there - I'm assuming someone will help me to get to Daegu. I say I assume, because I haven't heard anything on how to get there yet - but I'm sure I will.
As for me, I'm freaking out and am a total ball of nerves. When I got the email saying I was leaving, I broke down crying. Leave? Already? I mean, sure, I've waited 4 months already, but it's just too soon! I spent the day with Dad grabbing last minute items and trying to think through the fog of what in the world I'll need! Tomorrow, we have to go get the visa - which if the visa takes longer than a day, I won't be leaving on Wednesday - and then do the last minute shopping, pack and say goodbyes (the worst part of leaving - ever!)
I talked to my friend Sam today, who has been in Korea for a month - and she made me feel better, my friends Lauren and Cassie did too, I also heard from Katy in Indonesia - so knowing that I have wonderful friends and family supporting me makes this a little more bearable. :)
Thanks to you all. I am so blessed to have you all in my life and thank you so much for caring for me and about this journey - you are all rockstars!
